A Genuine 24/7/365 breakdown service, with 4-hour response time is part of the TGS offer to all 
service contract holders. With all of our engineers carrying comprehensive van stocks, TGS JCB are able to achieve a 95% first visit fix on most emergency call outs.
For major breakdowns, rental generators are always available, whilst your own generator is being repaired with our generator service and generator maintenance team. Delivery is never a problem using our own 60 tonne/metre HIAB equipped commercial vehicle.
Load Banking, fuel management, fuel tank replacement and fuel polishing options are all available at competitive rates.
All Diesel fuel has a minimum of 2.5% Bio Diesel content. This percentage is rising to a minimum of 5% in 2010. This has the potential of leading to major problems for anybody that stores diesel in generator bulk or base tanks for a period of longer than six months.
When stored Bio Diesel can become contaminated with microbes, and this micro-bacterial growth flourishes in the water that has been absorbed by the diesel, which then feeds on the bio-fuel. Reduced light and the right temperature results in the microbes having perfect conditions in which to flourish and, if left untreated, this growth can cause major problems:
- The sludge produced will block fuel filters and lines, resulting in poor or non-starting, increased emissions, injector failure and even engine damage.
- Other effects can be more serious – if the organisms combine with moisture in the engine, producing an acid that can eat through the metal in pipes, tanks and other fuel system parts.
